Day – 1 12/13 September 2024

Well, we have finally begun our long Italian trip. Flight was on time and we got to Rome and landing was a little bit bumpy, lots crosswinds and maybe some sheer, in any event the pilot decided to go back and pull up out of the landing pattern and go around to the pass out. We finally landed, Better safe than sorry. It was raining in Rome, and as we drove to Bologna, it rained on and off. We picked up our Peugeot and our familiarizing ourselves with the car. Not sure how much I like it, we’ll see over the next few days. So it took us about four hours to drive up to just outside millennium countryside is beautiful looking forward to another two months of seeing all kinds of sites. In the meantime we ended up in the small little hotel just outside of theologian, and it was very nice. They have an attached restaurant and I had an Italian meal here. And it was very nice. They have an attached restaurant and I had a first Italian meal here she had gnocchi sauce with Gorgonzola sauce, and I had tortellini with a heavy cream sauce, and we shared several vegetables, roasted potatoes, and porcini mushrooms. Couple glasses of wine, and a dessert of profiterole with chocolate and zabaglione. Not back to our room to sleep off some jet lag.
