21-22 November 2024: Sea Days—During sea days, we do not obviously go off the ship. However, there are lots of activities from which to choose throughout the day/evening. There is also lots of food. Because everyone is on board, the venues can get a little bit more crowded at times, but, quite honestly, we have not had to wait for anything, really, and there are plenty of nooks and crannies where one could sit outdoor or inside, however one wishes to spend the day. We are lucky because we have our own veranda, and it faces the sun much of the day. The temp is still nice enough to wear shorts during the day outside, changing to long slacks and perhaps a light sweater or jacket in the evening if one prefers. We did turn our clocks back one hour two days in a row, synchronizing our time to Sao Miguel in the Azores, which we will visit on November 23. Of note, we ran into Max’s father, and grandparents by the elevator. We initially met them during our Seafarer cruise with Alison, Noah, and Logan last January (2024). They live in Texas. Who would have thought that they would be on this ship, this cruise, at the same time as John and I?!?! Anyway, we are in the process of scheduling dinner together early next week.
